The National Skate Patrol (NSP) is an arm of the International In-Line Skating Association (IISA). There are 23 NSP chapters in North America and the Virgin Islands, as well as Great Britan. With a new chapter forming in China this year! The NSP is a network of proficent skating volunteers who help skaters to better coexist with pedestrians, cyclists and other park and trail users, by gently reminding all users of proper trail etiquette. |

These red-shirted volunteers help the novice skater by conducting free brake clinics as well as assist them with their safety gear. They give this help freely and on the spot, where it's most needed.Unfortunately, the cry for first aid happens often. Most times it's just a scraped knee but on occasion it's worse. The NSP volunteers are trained by the American Red Cross and are ready to handle most situations. |
