Description: This trail follows the Sammamish river north through Redmond. It is flat and long and a great place for speed skaters to get a good work out (there is a speed limit of 15 mph). There is plenty of parking at the park, but there is a $1.00 charge.
To get started, from the parking lot, pick up the trail that heads toward the entrance.
You'll pass the ball fields on your right and end up at a bridge, cross the bridge, there you will find the river and the trail, head north toward Redmond and have fun.
Hazards: The asphalt is begining to show it’s age, it’s a little rough in places.
Directions: For those using Map Quest type in Marymoor Park 6046 West Lake Sammamish Parkway NE and you’re there.
If you’er looking at a city map, from Seattle downtown head east on the 520 freeway. The park is just south of the 520 freeway off the ramp for Lake Sammamish Parkway. It‘s about 12 miles east, but worth the drive.
