Green River Trail

Description: This trail is in the south end, but by no means is it an unworthy trail. It’s where I first skated and I skate it at least once a season. The trail starts at a 100 year old log cabin (it burned a few years ago so it’s a replica now) The trail follows the Green River south, banked by lush old trees it winds high on the river’s dike. The trail goes for miles, all the way past Auburn down to Pacific, about a 12 mile run. This is also a good trail for speed skating, except it has a few more turns and a few more hazards.

Hazards: On this trail watch for the railroad tracks near the start and the old wooden bridge about a mile south. The bridge is very safe, except it is wooden and the hand rail is notorious for giving out splinters.

Directions: For those using Map Quest type in 600 Strander Blvd and you’re there.
If you’re looking at a city map of Tukwila, just go about 1 mile east of Southcenter Mall on Strander and you are there. It’s a little park on your left before you cross the river, if you do cross the river you will be looking at a Jack in the Box, you've gone too far.
