Alki Point (West Seattle)
Description: A great place to begin the skate at Alki is at the Alki Crab and Fish Cafe, at Seacrest Park. Park any where on the street. Skate toward Alki point on a broad concrete sidewalk with all of Puget Sound in your face.
Across the bay is Downtown Seattle, you will want to grab your camera at dusk, this view is spectacular (our header was shot from this viewpoint).
When you make the turn south a beautiful sweeping panoramic view of beach, sea and Olympic mountains will leap at you. Time it right, and you just may see a sunset that will take your breath.
Hazards: None (Only the view could be considered a hazard)
The trail divides for rollers and pedestrians, keep to the left and you will be pleased to be on one of the smoothest strips of asphalt in all of Seattle. This is a favorite place because the path is so broad it will accommodate all types of
crazy skating styles. See you there!

Directions: For those using Map Quest type Alki Crab and Fish 1660 Harbor Ave Sw and you’er there.
If you’re looking at a city map, head toward West Seattle, that’s the point of land south and west of downtown Seattle across Elliot bay. The Seattle Water Taxi goes directly to this marina (Seacrest Dock) leaving from the Seattle waterfront at pier 54. The fare is $2.00 each way, a fun boat ride that leads to a great skate.
